Establish an Effective Skin Care routine

Healthy habits and a comprehensive skin care routine will help you see the skin you’ve always wanted.

So I came across this on Pinterest  and there are a few things I think I’m going to have to change for my version when I write it up. (Which I may do in my 2018 BUJO. Some I will use others I don’t really need to follow liek the make-up brushes, I don’t use make up often let alone aside from some chapstick or gloss I don’t use it in the summer (rarely, I will put a smudge of eyeshadow)

Exfoliate I would say is best every other day and if you have sensitive skin 2x a week. Although if you are a tanning buff like me (i do use 100SPF but I tan fast as well!) I would exfoliate everyday (or night before) especially your legs BEFORE you shave with a pumice stone or preferably a Loofa  (and no its not the shower Poofs…  They make them for your face too!)

go in the sun and use some baby oil while you still have water dripping on you. You nor a boyfriend or Husband will be able to keep yourself from ‘petting’ your silky legs. And it won’t burn you that way you still get the tanning effect from the baby oil but you will have your sun block over it so you won’t get burned.

weekly Exercise? Thought that was supposed to mostly be a daily thing!!?!?! Though I really hear every other day

I’ve read once a month is fine for cleaning your make up brushes, but then I guess that depends on all the different colors etc you use.

‘grooming eyebrows’ should be bi weekly not monthly especially if this ‘grooming’ means waxing or tweezing. Don’t forget if you get your eyebrows professionally waxed, that you can go a month without having to go back if you maintain it. After a week or even a few days check to see if any hairs have emerged and tweeze those buggers out! This way you stay polished looking and don’t have to pay whatever it is every other week. (or even cheaper, DIY! My Wax cost me no more than $10 and it takes a lot less time than even if you have an appointment you sometimes have to wait… then go through it… it takes me no longer than 5 minutes to do my own.

You should condition your hair weekly and month should be a deep condition or hot oil treatment (especially if you have split ends) If you use product in your hair, blow dry it even in summer, or or is just naturally dry and strawlike… you will want to use conditioner every other wash, and once a week use a deep moisturizing conditioner. (and may I suggest a leave-in conditioner.)  also if you have naturally dry hair.. instead of every day (which is what is drying it out… try every other to day or more… say you last washed your hair on Sunday.. wash it on Tuesday night or wait til Wednesday. This way the natural oils can seep into the hair to smooth the follicle as well as you won’t get split ends much. And if During the summer use a little conditioner and sunblock mixed to smooth on the ends of your hair and your scalp. (this way your head won’t get burned nor your hair fried!

15 beauty tips to make every woman’s life easier

15-beauty-tricks-that-will-make-every-womans-life-easier

Please don’t try the hair spray on your mascara wand! For one you will contaminate your vial if you put it back in, and  as if getting mascara in your eye isn’t bad enough if you get yourself with the wand with hair spray on it it will be worse.

I must try the nail whitening… I usually use some peroxide or even a bit of diluted bleach. Also likely if you get yellowing from any colors you either didn’t put a coat (or 2) of base coat on or you could also be getting a fungus! (and is another reason I use some bleach, to kill anything that MIGHT  start.)

I have a nail mending kit it has ’tissue’ much like that shown. Though A tea bag in a pinch is cool, but is it before or after making the tea? I’d say try a coffee filter if you don’t drink tea.  Also you might want to also put a base coat on, with a drop of nail glue to hold the patch job. Then use a top coat.

NO eye drops in mascara if it’s dried out it’s passed it’s use by date! Not to mention all the bacteria in it.

Definitely have got to use that cleaner for the hair tools!

Brush plate… cool idea but I use a brush cleaner

Dry Eyeliner… Ugh I hate that wet stuff I like an actual crayon as it’s less likely to get in your eye. (plus the ‘drawing’ on your eye makes your eyes look smaller not bigger.

The baby oil….. also try the ALOE version! I used to use baby oil after I shaved while still a bit damp, then I’d rub it around and rinse off and out the house I’d go. You won’t be able to stop touching them! never heard of using to shave with.. might have to try that at some point.

I’ve been using dryer sheets in my winter hats & clothes for years!

11 Make-up and Toiletry Organizers…people swear by

Or try a deluxe organizer for your shadows, glosses, and other little things: Heck I could use this not just for make up etc. but for a desk organizer, even a display to sell jewelry and crafts I made!

I have loads of make up old or new, and YES I know the old needs to be chucked out, but I just love the color too much and its no longer sold. I still have my old Caboodles carry case as well as my big Sassaby one both in storage (I would swear in mine there’s an extra compartment that you could put hair sprays in)  but I would like something other than the drawer in my bureau for my make-up (plus whatever is on top of it) I have a caboodles or whatever organizer as well, (again in storage) but that may end up being desk fodder at some point instead.  This one on the right I like for the top of my bureau as you can see everything in it. I juts don’t know if there will be enough clearance as mine is also a hutch.

That hanging bag I do love for travel a well as the toiletry set (I have something like it) but for that much money I’ll stick to the Michael Kohrs (sp?) hanging toiletry bag I got as a hand me down. (I won’t buy brand name stuff but I’m not against getting it free or in a Thrift store! (but then I usually don’t notice it is as I don’t really look at the names, just the style and if I’ll like it on me)

What I need for a make-up organizer is not just make up but side holders (good size ones) for at least 5-10 bottles of Perfume and same for lotions!

Nail Soaks review & Contest

When I saw these I had to have them. I thought not only are these great to just soak your nails clean but  these might make it easier to remove my polish (esp. those glittery types instead of using the cotton pad, and getting the fuzzies all over the place)

So I tried them out an. Using my own mix of non-acetone nail polish remover with a bit of regular polish remover for my real nails (if you have fake ones.. DO NOT add Acetone as it ‘melts’ the plastic/acrylic. )

for my basic manicure  …I use a base coat, then polish, and a 2nd coat if needed, and then the clear top coat. When you remove it can be all non-acetone, or mix a cap of acetone into it. The nail soaks should be no more then 1/4 to half full

(I may use nail decal which needs no special way of getting it off, or even using the thin brush to put a decoration on… both of these can be taken off as the basic manicure.but sometimes getting them off is a little more difficult and therefore adding in a bit of acetone.)

another variation after the 2nd coat of polish I might  add stones or other nail art, some of which I do use a dab of glue or a lot of coats of clear polish. For this one you need mostly acetone, and I suggest NOT to put it in your soaks as it will eat at the glue /leak proofing for these I suggest just soaking in a small Chinese take out container (the size they put sauce in) and soak your nails with mostly acetone (but if you have the fakes, again you will have to only soak them with non-acetone.)
