Purse Trend

I saw this purse trend and went nuts. I always loved the old ‘hat boxes’ and ’round bags.

I do have one of these but it’s a hard hat box I guess you could call it. A family friend gave me it me. (will try to include picture)

The very first picture and Look #3 are my favorites. I used to have a round purse of sorts, sadly I must have gotten rid of it as now I need a bigger one to carry my kindle which I usually have with me, especially if I know there’s going to be a free WI-Fi spot to hand out and relax while on errands.

Though at least one of those noted in the link is over one thousand dollars (really? why would you spend that much on a current trend when likely it will be around for a few months then gone? I swear there should be a cap even on the big expensive brands for fashion items)

Here’s a search Affordable Round Purses, I like the Clock face one best It’s a great price and reasonable shipping)

Here’s another I like  though it costs more money but at least it’s not in the hundreds (or thousands seriously?)

Try also vintage Hat box, Round Vintage purse

Maybe I can understand if its the one and ONLY purse you will have for the next 10-20 years and will work for every season as well along with every outfit you wear but for me that’s a bore! I like cloth during the summer (and spring depending on how the heat and humidity are) and when Its the cooler weather it really doesn’t matter as long as it doesn’t belong on the beach. Though I prefer something black or brown and if it’s leather looking I have no problem as long as its big enough to fit what I normally carry plus I can fit hat, gloves etc in it should it be cold …(so far, we are having a warm winter)

How To Look Like A Million Dollars Even If You Aren’t A Millionaire

We all know Millionaires have their eccentricities but their fashion much of the time I question more than my own.

Source: How To Look Like A Million Dollars Even If You Aren’t A Millionaire

Necklines, there’s Trashy and there’s elegant…be elegant.  If you wear those platform shoes around me and fall or anything in front of me… YES I AM laughing at you. They look ridiculous

size is my problem… a lot of the time I can’t find a comfortable women’s t-shirt. No matter what size I can fit into Xl or double the shoulders always feel so small. Also I like air flow I always feel hot and tighter clothes make it worse. Also I have some super over large shirts and sweat shirts to wear around the house. They just feel more cozy than a regular nightgown (plus if I have a last minute guest, no matter how big the shirt is I’m sure to have one that will fit you! Then I have a larger zippered sweat jacket that I have so in case I wear something under it but its from Canada so likely I won’t get cold in it, (unless I go upstate)

under the combining colors, that blazer does not look navy blue, it looks black and to me, nothing looks wrong with it. Those not crazy for what the girl in the black & white outfit is wearing. Too boring…

as for the jewelry… even if you wear all one type of metal/color limit up to 2 rings on a hand. (your engagement/wedding band on one & 2 on the other if you must. For me it just looks like you are showing off and therefore telling the muggers to do so.

Winter Chill without being chilly

Winter Basics

Layering

*Socks-my feet and hands as soon as the fall weather comes, usually always feel cold to the touch. I can take it on my hands to a point, but normally go nutty at home trying to keep them warm in booties, socks or both together! So if  I go out, I usually wear a pair of the novelty socks (that are at least calf high if not knee or over the knee high) as they usually fit tight but comfortably and then I wear one of my white knee high socks  and if helping out in the snow, one of my dad’s thick heavy Tube socks. Some people even were the fuzzy socks (which i usually use for slippers)

Leg Warmers– I wore an old Neon green pair to work when it was super cold (hey my knees sometimes wouldn’t want to move when it was really cold) so I got picked on for wearing them, but know what? I was the warm one while I saw everyone else outside freezing their (Male or female) you know what’s off!

*Jeans – jeans with a relaxed fit  (NOT Skin Tight) will keep you warmer as they will retain some of your body heat.
(if you have to walk, or take public transportation to work….)
You need a pair of long johns Quite honestly I always found them itchy, then one year my dad no longer fit in his, and they were soft so I use the set I have from him (as I usually only wear them when I know I will feel cold.. Or wore them when I used to work outside)
*T-shirt – Short or long sleeve ….again remember you are only layering. It’s best to keep a t-shirt on under your winter clothes this way you can cool off once inside. Usually if I’m wearing my leather jacket, I just wear a short sleeve t-shirt!
*Sweatshirt or ‘open’ sweater (you can button or zip) over it
(if in an office the open sweater would be proper attire, as its not just casual comfortable but also a bit formal yet dressy, some of the girls I used to work with would keep a sweater close by during the winter.)

Accessories

*Hat or ear muffs
*Scarf    (if in colder climate you might want not just the scarf but one of those face masks
*Gloves (I usually start to keep these in my purse now)
* a bigger purse than you’d use during summer. (Room for stuffing your winter layers in.) (because you may have to bring your work shoes with you)
Boots something that can be worn daily but will keep your feet warm. Don’t be one of those people I laugh at for falling on ice because you are wearing fashion boots, and not something to keep your butt literally safe. Check my new boots if you haven’t yet! Not only will they go well under or over your jeans (or whatever pants.. I have yet to try them with a skirt of any sort) for everyday casual wear but with their rubber sole, they will also help you keep from slipping better than those fashion shoes. These are great for this time for them, at least in New York as it hasn’t snowed yet, where I am, but parts of upstate it has. These are good for little to medium snow.  Quite of bit of those I know has complimented me on them. They liked them, then were amazed they had a pocket in each! Great for a Starbucks card for a nice hot mociato while shopping! or as the post says, emergency money, key anything to hide even!)

4 Reasons To Invest In A Leather Jacket

I’m not vegan more like farminarian as I only eat the 3 Chicken, beefs and pork. But Even if you are Vegan There are Faux….leather jackets. They are the ONLY jackets I’ve ever found worth wearing during the winter! They keep you warm, I used to have a biker jacket in the 90’s (the picture in the link is a fair resemblance, only I bought a men’s one as all the girls were like cut offs) but since I can’t seem to find one like that I like (they all look fake even the real ones.. Not sure if it’s because they look matte, or just aren’t the same black color mine was …which I got from a Wilson’s suede and leather) I bought one of the ones for the ‘crotch rockets’ as I call them (like the Ninja or Ducati bikes)  I think this one is even warmer then my biker jacket! This one not only does it keep me warm but heck I normally have to unzip mine all the way, if not take it off!

My Foot Boot Fashion

Now it’s rare when I do a write up for something fashion, as I’m not one for fashion. I know some things like silver looks best with black and Gold with White. That just because some say certain colors do not mix does not mean that you can’t wear them. (Yes You can wear red and pink together, but one of them has to be belt just a little trim, otherwise you look like Mimi from the Drew Carey show…..a clown)

With the Holidays upon us and Black Friday around the corner, I thought the perfect post would be a product review of a pair of boots I recently purchased.

Women’s Daily Shoes Combat Style Ankle Bootie Quilted Military Knit  with hideaway Credit Card Knife Money Wallet Pockets

I’ve been eyeing these boots for at least a year if not more! I think you could say they are utilitarian, as they have a pocket for your credit card, money, key, multi (survival?) tool  etc.(or just use it for emergency money)

so I thought these would definitely be worth getting with some of my birthday money (Though ordered before, so I could wear for any birthday festivities).  Normally I wear a size 8 but being as a lot of footwear does not come with the arch support in it, not to mention sometimes there’s barely enough room between your foot and the inside of the  boot to fit an insole in;  I thought let me get a half size bigger, so I can wear thicker socks as well as in case I need to include an insole in it. I was right; there was no arch support, and thankfully there is enough room for a good insole as well as your foot to fit in comfortably!

These are the sort of boots that never go out of style!

There have been many a footwear that I had to either decide to use the insole and feel as though my foot is being squashed or to forego the insole and therefore my feet and back to hurt faster especially when shopping at a  Walmart… (and all the other stores we go to when we go Middle-town, NY or the stores we go to in Connecticut.

With these boots, not only is there room for the insole, but I’m pretty sure there’s enough room left for some thick(er) socks than I normally wear, (like winter socks) but have yet to test as it’s still too warm, and there has not been a snow fall.  (I have included  a few options for thick socks below)

Now I really haven’t decided what exactly, other than a few dollars (maybe $20 -$50 for emergency or running out) to keep in my boots. Maybe a multi tool would be a good Idea in one of them. Oh and the pockets are fairly deep. Let’s just say before you try paying at a register like I did, try to have the money out before reaching the register, plus it’s not a good idea for people to see that you have your money etc in your boots, but I really only had 2 singles in there at the time so it didn’t really matter. Other ideas to put in them, why not those rewards cards, (I wish there were a way to combine all your rewards numbers into one account/card  so that you just need the one card with you for them to swipe, scan or whatever and it will go through, (or just use a fingerprint)

anyway I really do love my new boots! I got them cheaper than they are at now, but they are worth the price. Plus like I said with Black Friday around the corner You will likely get a discount, and if you purchase through Ebates, You might get some money back from your order). There’s also have a choice of multiple colors, plus Camouflage  and zebra print, as well as quilted color options! If I could get another pair so soon, I would order 2 more pairs  a  Quilted white/beige pair, but then that would get dirty too quick..  so maybe I’d go with the brown  pair and maybe the ones that look like denim. I don’t care for the zebra print ones as to me they look like those flood boots.

If you don’t care for the version I got, there’s a couple other styles one like mine with bucklets on back (or so looks) and an ankle cut

or this style http://amzn.to/2mQ7byy with buckles in back they also have an ankle cut http://amzn.to/2lyrXmf

Oh yeah,it’s a good idea to waterproof these  (and any of your other footwear for when it rains, snows etc) I do so with all my footwear but mostly my Fall and winter boots, shoes etc. You want to do an even coating over the whole boot. I work on the seams first, let dry then I spray the rest of the boot. Let it dry then spray another layer, then I take a show sponge (like the ones some hotels give) and buff with that.

7 ways to spot a fake designer handbag

Now where some have shoe collections, I’m a purse collector! (in a sense) I get rid of mine slowly and then when I do I end up missing them so I don’t just get rid of them that easy.

Honestly If I only had 2-5 purses then I might understand having one expensive one for dates, family gatherings etc. (Or just the ‘perfect one’ for the spring/summer, as I only have about that many purses for that time of year.) I need a bigger sized purse as I usually carry around my kindle fire, and if not then a book and a note pad, besides the wallet, a pen and a few other items. (Honestly for me it’s the smaller things that make it heavy!)

If you are like me, You really don’t care if you have a designer bag, but in my travels, it looks like everyone has one.

One year I came across a yard sale and saw a  cool ‘Patchwork’ Coach purse (never saw one like it) and a hard shell Louis Vutton
tote. I checked them out a bit, and unlike past fakes I had seen and when I’ve looked in the actual stores to see what the linings, tags etc looked like. I thought these were real!!! The Louis Vutton tote even had the wallet in it! So I got the 2 purses and wallet for $20! (Images included are a close likeness to those I found)
