15 beauty tips to make every woman’s life easier

15-beauty-tricks-that-will-make-every-womans-life-easier

Please don’t try the hair spray on your mascara wand! For one you will contaminate your vial if you put it back in, and  as if getting mascara in your eye isn’t bad enough if you get yourself with the wand with hair spray on it it will be worse.

I must try the nail whitening… I usually use some peroxide or even a bit of diluted bleach. Also likely if you get yellowing from any colors you either didn’t put a coat (or 2) of base coat on or you could also be getting a fungus! (and is another reason I use some bleach, to kill anything that MIGHT  start.)

I have a nail mending kit it has ’tissue’ much like that shown. Though A tea bag in a pinch is cool, but is it before or after making the tea? I’d say try a coffee filter if you don’t drink tea.  Also you might want to also put a base coat on, with a drop of nail glue to hold the patch job. Then use a top coat.

NO eye drops in mascara if it’s dried out it’s passed it’s use by date! Not to mention all the bacteria in it.

Definitely have got to use that cleaner for the hair tools!

Brush plate… cool idea but I use a brush cleaner

Dry Eyeliner… Ugh I hate that wet stuff I like an actual crayon as it’s less likely to get in your eye. (plus the ‘drawing’ on your eye makes your eyes look smaller not bigger.

The baby oil….. also try the ALOE version! I used to use baby oil after I shaved while still a bit damp, then I’d rub it around and rinse off and out the house I’d go. You won’t be able to stop touching them! never heard of using to shave with.. might have to try that at some point.

I’ve been using dryer sheets in my winter hats & clothes for years!

Beauty Tricks JACKPOT

Don’t stress!! It Messes with your whole system~ Especially your face and surprisingly your hair! (& No it’s not from just pulling it out!) Go get a massage, & relax.

Skin & Aging

Use a slice of lemon & rub the back of your hands & even face with it. (it will work as an astringent) It lightens age & dark spots also if you want to lighten your hair a bit… put some lemon juice in a bottle some water as well & spriz it on before & while at the beach. This will be great if you make ‘sea spray’ which includes a bit of gel for texture as well as some sea salt

When I was a kid I used to love sleeping on my stomach, I still like to lay down on my stomach & watch tv for a bit from time to time but if I do it too long it bothers my back. Since I have mainly slept on my back petty much all my life (when I wasn’t sleeping on my stomach) I have come to figure out that it is for the best,  I’m in my late 30’s and many still think I’m in my 20s! (still getting carded 50-60% of the time!)  so sleeping on your back is apparently ‘natural’ plastic Surgery to keep those wrinkles away and not accelerated aging.

*For pimples don’t just drink Chamomile tea but also apply it to the breakouts

Green tea is great for breakout (& better yet preventing them) as it is an antibacterial You won’t want to use the natural stuff straight as it stinks (if you do stay in the house oh & an added plus it’s great on mosquito bites I hear)  Make Ice Cubes with the green tea & dab/rub the afflicted area 3 times a day  to soothe, &  Reduce redness & swelling Great to use as a 2 in 1 Astringent & toner!

*Besides sleeping on your back another thing that will help is using a satin or silk  pillowcase, as Cotton cases crease and can cause them on your skin creating wrinkles. However knowing the way I sleep… I doubt these will even help!

*Use yogurt, honey, mashed avocado or sugar as an all-natural face mask.

* Hot showers dry out your skin! Take a warm shower, and eventually turning the water down to cool. This will help to close your pores.

* (& Nails on this one ) Take a cup of milk and warm it in the microwave. Soak the hands for 5 minutes. This helps hydrate the skin and strengthen the nails.

Slice a potato and put on the acne affected area. You will note that it reduces the skin irritation and also helps with  healing  as well.

Over time drinking through a straw or smoking can exaggerate lines on the lips and around the mouth

Put 4 tablespoons of baby oil in your bath water. Your skin will be silky smooth in no time. (if you take showers, then BEFORE drying off, rub baby oil over, Rinse off a bit & you’ll be nicely moisturized!)

Shea butter softens skin, reduces inflammation and improves the appearance of scars and other discolorations.

Shea Butter may ‘improve the appearance’ of scars, but if you use Vitamin E when the wound is still fairly fresh (like a day or 2 after you get it) start apply vitamin E directly to the wound (of course with a piece of gauze over it) and it will keep the scarring down with little need to use shea butter. I learned this out for myself!

Nails

Take a cup of milk and warm it in the microwave. Soak the hands for 5 minutes. This helps hydrate the skin and strengthen the nails.

Sticking your nails in lemon halves for five minutes will help brighten nails instantly.

 Make-up

*Choose a lipstick shade that has a cool or blue undertone if you want your teeth to appear whiter.

*Use soft pencil along upper and lower lash lines then brush matching shadow over the line to intensify the color.

*Flaky Mascara? Throw it out. The #1 reason it flakes is that it’s old & has dried up a bit. you need to replace mascara every 3-6 months

The best color Eyeshadow to use with your color eyes (as I have learned from Almay)

Purple looks great with brown eyes as well as green and metals Especially Copper!  but really Our eyes look great with any color esp. when they’re almost black like mine!

Green looks great with natural earthy based  tones like Golds/Kahki, sand & even some ‘clay’ colors not the orange tho… it needs to be more neutral there’s one that has a red yet purple tone that’s the best one & let’s not forget Purple (I love the way the colors look together)

Bring out Blue eyes with earthy tones as well as greys & pinks

Hair

*Fatty Omega -3 acids like salmon & Walnuts help lengthen hair naturally

*Vitamin E can make your hair shine. Good sources of vitamin E include: brown rice, nuts, wheat germ, and leafy green vegetables.

Eyes

*Cucumbers can be used for dark circles and swelling by the eyes. Slice cucumber and put over eyes, keeping them there for twenty minutes.

Tea bags (with caffeine) will help reduce swollen eyes. Simply soak in water then leave the entire bag on each eye for 5-10 minutes.

Put your eye cream in the fridge for a few minutes before applying will help reduce puffy bags faster.  (we put Noxema in the fridge Oh how nice it feels when you put it on, especially if you have a sun burn!)

Hair

Gorgeous but Easy Braid Tutorials  (This is one I need for myself! For some reason I cannot braid my own hair!)

Nails

Almond and Olive oil are rich in  essential fatty acids  which help to strengthen cracked & dry nails

Lip balm can also be used to moisturize cuticles especially those with shea butter and Vitamin E.. (a drop of Olive oil works equally well)

Make-up

Lightly powder eyelashes  so the mascara will cling  to your lashes so they appear fuller. (be sure to be careful with this as it may amplify ‘spider eyes’ that many get when they use regular mascara. (I use Cover girl’s clear mascara & NEVER have this problem & that is without using the powder)   Another good thing about the clear mascara… you can see when it’s time to buy a new one. (normally it’s 3-6 months you need to get rid of mascara)

Create the illusion of well rested eye  using a flesh toned pencil to line the lower INNER rims of your eyes.

 Body & Skin

Detox you body by eating these foods-

Never pull the skin around your eyes This will cause lines and sagging. Gently dab on moisturizer, concelers, primers, foundation

Snack on apples WITH the skin on it helps the skin look healthy and smooth

Drink herbal or green tea at least once a day to help detox your system

Reduce blemishes by drinking a glass of lemon water each day

Aloe vera Gel  works as a toner it tightens pores and makes them appear smaller.

Dab acne with nasal drops, which shrink blood vessels and take away redness

Vitamin A & E are very important for the skin they help fight  lines & wrinkles.

(Vitamin E is also great for preventing scars. But you have to start to use it a few days after the initial scrape cut etc. (I usually wait about 2-3 days , you can purchase the Vitamin E gel pills. &  puncture it with a pin & just squeeze it directly onto the wound. I usually do this 2-3 times a day & right before bed so 4)

If you suffer with sensitive or spot prone skin, try & stick to natural products where possible, in order to not cause irritations/breakouts

When washing you face, don’t forget your eyebrows! Makeup and impurities can be trapped in the brows which can cause acne.

Honey brightens, tightens, & fights wrinkles & acne. Honey Facial: Smear onto face let sit for 1-3mins, rinse with warm water, pat dry

The most important thing you can do for your skin is to drink as much water as possible each and every day. See clearer results

To fix puffy eyes or dark circles: Brew two green tea bags, and let them cool. Then lie down and place them over your eyes for 10 minutes.

Ice cube facial. – reduces pore size and keeps wrinkles away.

To help heal acne scars, combine cocoa butter and vitamin E. Smooth over scars.

(Zi’s Note…. this works for any scars! but it is best to do it before the scratch/sore heals that way there will be alot less scarring! (trust me on this one! I’ve had a really bad fall on my knees and using this I hardly have any dark scars left!)

Kiwi is a great fruit to eat if you want to preserve your young skin. Kiwi is high in antioxidants, potassium, and vitamin C.

7 Busy Girl Life Hacks

Life Hacks

Inspired girl drowned in procrastination.

Here’s 7 simple life hacks for a busy girl.

1. Have a headache?
Take a whiff of peppermint oil! It relieves your headache almost instantly. You can put it on your skin (if it’s really strong it may give you a minty ‘burn’ feeling, it’s alright, it’s all natural) as well. You can keep it in your locker at school and if you want a little touch up on your perfume, take a roller ball (I have one of peppermint in my locker) and put it on your wrist.

2. Running late?
Make a playlist that is as long as you have in the morning to get ready. If you are on the last song, you will know you are late!

3. Can’t fall asleep?
Do some yoga or stretches while laying in bed for a few minutes and afterword you’ll fall asleep in no time!

4. Love snacking but…
