Establish an Effective Skin Care routine

Healthy habits and a comprehensive skin care routine will help you see the skin you’ve always wanted.

So I came across this on Pinterest  and there are a few things I think I’m going to have to change for my version when I write it up. (Which I may do in my 2018 BUJO. Some I will use others I don’t really need to follow liek the make-up brushes, I don’t use make up often let alone aside from some chapstick or gloss I don’t use it in the summer (rarely, I will put a smudge of eyeshadow)

Exfoliate I would say is best every other day and if you have sensitive skin 2x a week. Although if you are a tanning buff like me (i do use 100SPF but I tan fast as well!) I would exfoliate everyday (or night before) especially your legs BEFORE you shave with a pumice stone or preferably a Loofa  (and no its not the shower Poofs…  They make them for your face too!)

go in the sun and use some baby oil while you still have water dripping on you. You nor a boyfriend or Husband will be able to keep yourself from ‘petting’ your silky legs. And it won’t burn you that way you still get the tanning effect from the baby oil but you will have your sun block over it so you won’t get burned.

weekly Exercise? Thought that was supposed to mostly be a daily thing!!?!?! Though I really hear every other day

I’ve read once a month is fine for cleaning your make up brushes, but then I guess that depends on all the different colors etc you use.

‘grooming eyebrows’ should be bi weekly not monthly especially if this ‘grooming’ means waxing or tweezing. Don’t forget if you get your eyebrows professionally waxed, that you can go a month without having to go back if you maintain it. After a week or even a few days check to see if any hairs have emerged and tweeze those buggers out! This way you stay polished looking and don’t have to pay whatever it is every other week. (or even cheaper, DIY! My Wax cost me no more than $10 and it takes a lot less time than even if you have an appointment you sometimes have to wait… then go through it… it takes me no longer than 5 minutes to do my own.

You should condition your hair weekly and month should be a deep condition or hot oil treatment (especially if you have split ends) If you use product in your hair, blow dry it even in summer, or or is just naturally dry and strawlike… you will want to use conditioner every other wash, and once a week use a deep moisturizing conditioner. (and may I suggest a leave-in conditioner.)  also if you have naturally dry hair.. instead of every day (which is what is drying it out… try every other to day or more… say you last washed your hair on Sunday.. wash it on Tuesday night or wait til Wednesday. This way the natural oils can seep into the hair to smooth the follicle as well as you won’t get split ends much. And if During the summer use a little conditioner and sunblock mixed to smooth on the ends of your hair and your scalp. (this way your head won’t get burned nor your hair fried!

11 Make-up and Toiletry Organizers…people swear by

Or try a deluxe organizer for your shadows, glosses, and other little things: Heck I could use this not just for make up etc. but for a desk organizer, even a display to sell jewelry and crafts I made!

I have loads of make up old or new, and YES I know the old needs to be chucked out, but I just love the color too much and its no longer sold. I still have my old Caboodles carry case as well as my big Sassaby one both in storage (I would swear in mine there’s an extra compartment that you could put hair sprays in)  but I would like something other than the drawer in my bureau for my make-up (plus whatever is on top of it) I have a caboodles or whatever organizer as well, (again in storage) but that may end up being desk fodder at some point instead.  This one on the right I like for the top of my bureau as you can see everything in it. I juts don’t know if there will be enough clearance as mine is also a hutch.

That hanging bag I do love for travel a well as the toiletry set (I have something like it) but for that much money I’ll stick to the Michael Kohrs (sp?) hanging toiletry bag I got as a hand me down. (I won’t buy brand name stuff but I’m not against getting it free or in a Thrift store! (but then I usually don’t notice it is as I don’t really look at the names, just the style and if I’ll like it on me)

What I need for a make-up organizer is not just make up but side holders (good size ones) for at least 5-10 bottles of Perfume and same for lotions!

Make Up Storage by EcoTools

this was posted by Ecotools to their blog I really didn’t want to post just a link so I thought maybe I could add my 2 cents in if I had anything further to mention.

nail polish and nail painting4 Phrases of Makeup Storage

We’re all suckers for the latest beauty trends. But just like your go-to makeup routine, there are some methods of makeup storage that will always be tried and true. The biggest factor is often the weather, which poses unique challenges for keeping your makeup, and ultimately you, fresh and beautiful. Keep your products at their peak by remembering these four phrases of makeup storage.

THE FRIDGE IS YOUR FRIEND.

Storing some of your products in the refrigerator can prolong their shelf life and keep them performing like they’re meant to. Chilling your eye creams and serums can help counteract oxidation which causes the ingredients to break down. The coldness can also help reduce inflammation and puffiness on those early mornings. Nail polish is another product to keep cold, as the low temperatures keep it from separating and help it apply smoothly. Your fragrances deserve some fridge time, too, because warm temps could turn them into completely different scents over time.

Beauty Balm- Too true my favorite Givinchy scent though mostly finished or evaporated got some weird musky burned scent.

Just remember if you do not have room to store in fridge just be sure NOT to store your scents in bathroom, the humidity could do the same.

THE SUN IS NOT YOUR FRIEND.

While being in the sun boosts mood and promotes vitamin D production in you, it’s not so great for your cosmetics. Those rays peeking in can cause your makeup to deteriorate at a faster rate, so remember to always keep your makeup bag stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. In addition to deterioration, sunlight can cause your eyeshadows and blush to change color over time. Also, try not to store your makeup bag in the bathroom, because the humidity from the shower can change the consistency of your products. No one likes a cakey bronzer!

B B- told you so about the humidity and I’m pretty sure it is no good on your face while in the sun on the beach. Really I have seen women on the beach full make up as if they were going out. They also go in  the water and I swear it is hysterical as they try not to get their face wet.

MAKEUP HERE, BRUSHES THERE.

When your favorite brushes (like theLovely Looks Set) meet your favorite cosmetics, beautiful things happen. But when you’re not applying, always store your makeup brushes separate from your actual makeup. This will help prevent additional bacteria from building up, and can help your brushes last longer. Plus, we’ve all had cosmetic spillage in our makeup bags, so keeping your brushes separate means less things to clean. Last but not least, your brushes are much more likely to keep their shape and structure when in their own case.

Bonus tip: show off your beautiful brushes with these lovely ideas from Slashed Beauty.

B B tip…..Of course they do make a liquid  brush cleaner as well as a cleaning tool . If you do your make-up every day.. it’s a good idea to either clean them each week but at least (items mentioned previous are amazon links so you know what to look for as well as if you’d like to order.. If you do, thank you)

SECURE YOUR ON-THE-GO STASH.

Chances are, there’s a lipstick or powder compact buried somewhere in your handbag right now. Taking your makeup out of the house is a reality of life, which is why your at-home habits should also be practiced when you’re on-the-go. Our handbag must-haves? Travel-sized versions of your favorite concealer, lipstick or stain, mascara and powder compact. Keep them all together with a mini mirror in the pouch that conveniently comes with the travel-sized Mineral Set. Storing them this way will also help prevent a bigger mess if one of your products happens to melt or break, because unfortunately we’ve all had that happen.

Looking for more ways to make your makeup last?  These trickswill help you get the most out of every product.

BB I don’t use make up often, but I have a mini eyeshadow, my lip stick/gloss a chapstick and one other thing in my purse though at the moment it’s not in a cosmetic bag as its too few items to bother with that for me, and it’s in that back zipper anyway.
